This position is responsible for the development of new and existing business for all lines of business within the Cyber & Professional Lines Group. Primary duties include identifying business opportunities, building and maintaining successful relationships with prospects and existing clients, collaborating with the VP of Business Development and/or executives on business strategy to determine objectives, evaluating current business performance, and maximizing reach and potential. The role will emphasize building and expanding our market presence across the West Coast territory.Key Responsibilities
Relying on extensive knowledge and advanced leadership skills, this role is accountable for the following responsibilities:Responsible for managing broker/agent relationships in the West Coast territory, meeting key performance indicators and identifying, as well as developing new business by marketing within the region.Foster additional business opportunities through business travel, virtual meetings, conferences, and industry events.Develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities and remain current on all company products.Help build long-term relationships between TMHCC underwriters and broker partners through setting up virtual and in-person meetings and introductions.Conduct broker and agent training using webinars and other web conferencing utilities.Track, report, and maintain database of current and prospective contacts, marketing campaigns, opportunities, and outreach activities in Salesforce or other CRM tools.Work with the marketing team to develop, adapt and implement specific marketing strategies and materials for new, warm, or cold prospects, including campaigns based on market research/intelligence.Ensure sound working relationships with clients and other company departments by acting as the point of contact.Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements4 years bachelor’s degree preferred10 years of relevant and progressive insurance industry business development experienceWholesale and/or retail existing book of business strongly preferredDemonstrated success in developing business within the West Coast market
