- Performs and ensures all work is done in compliance with Quality Assurance Programs, specifications, and procedures.
- Inspect incoming equipment, parts, and materials; identify and document non-conformances.
- Work with the Quality Assurance Coordinator to address issues and implement corrective actions.
- Responsible to be knowledgeable of the PSC Quality Assurance Manual and all related publications and procedures.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date quality records.
- Works with Leadership and Quality Assurance Coordinator to meet requirements of the Quality Assurance Program.
- Directs daily activities of the Railcar Repair Technicians.
- Obtains and maintains required welding testing certifications.
- Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.
- Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and on top of and under railcars, as well as around railroad tracks.
- Must be able to obtain or possess a valid driver's license
- Knowledge of machines and tools required to weld, cut and gouge
- Perform / prioritize multiple tasks with attention to details.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions including basic blue prints and schematics.
- Basic mechanical skills and the ability to read a tape measure
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Stable work history with good references from past employers
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
