- Ability to read, understand, and follow documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, MSDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP).
- Demonstrate leadership as part of a cross-functional plant management team.
- Implement processes to organize and complete tasks, organize people and activities to support the process flow, ability to measure process success, insight to see opportunities for synergy and integration, and the aptitude to simplify complex processes.
- Accurately scopes out length and difficult of tasks and projects, sets objectives and goals, breaks down work into the process steps, develops schedules and assignments, anticipates and adjusts for problems or roadblocks, measures performance against goals, evaluates results.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with executives, managers, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the organization.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to management and coworkers.
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook and field-specific software.
- Basic math plus fractions, decimals and percentages, as well as algebraic calculations.

- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required. Other engineering disciplines or education may be considered.
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Minimum ten (10) years facility/maintenance experience in food production environment required.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a managerial role required.
- Minimum five (5) years of food processing experience required.
- In-depth knowledge of the dairy plant, maintenance required.
- Strong experience with plant automation required.
