An Acquisitions and Asset Management Analyst supports the sourcing and underwriting of new investment opportunities while monitoring the financial and operational performance of existing assets. The role involves detailed financial modeling, market research, and reporting to drive informed investment decisions and optimize portfolio returns.Conduct full investment underwriting and provide financial analysis to support acquisition, financing, fundraising, and marketing initiatives.Perform pre-acquisition market research by analyzing demographic and economic trends, contacting comparable properties, municipalities, and other data sources.Identify and evaluate prospective investment opportunities aligned with company investment criteria for discussion with the deal team.Prepare initial desktop market studies to guide on-site property visits.Gather industry insights by reviewing earnings calls and analyzing relevant market data to inform deal strategies.Maintain and update the acquisitions pipeline database and sales comps database for real-time tracking and review by staff.Research new property types outside the current investment mandate to support business unit R&D and expansion of the investment thesis.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
