
Reference Laboratory Technologist, 3rd shift Fri, Sat, & Sun

- Perform advanced serological testing such as antibody ID, crossmatching, antigen typing, and other specialized techniques
- Resolve complex patient antibody problems to support appropriate transfusion therapy
- Maintain testing quality and compliance with cGMP, CLIA, and safety standards
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and systems
- Accurately document results and consult with hospital staff as needed
- Contribute to inventory control of reagents and blood products
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to urgent testing needs

- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of advanced blood banking experience with a Bachelor's degree
- OR 2 years with an Associate’s degree
- Education (must meet CLIA requirements):
- Bachelor's in Medical Laboratory Science, Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science
- OR Associate’s in Medical Laboratory Technology
- Certification (at least one required):
- MLS/MT (ASCP), BB (ASCP), or MLT (ASCP) or equivalent
- Physical Abilities:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand or sit for long periods, and use personal protective equipment
- Must tolerate a laboratory setting with moderate noise and daily exposure to blood products
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and insurability (occasional travel may be required)
- Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation
