- Develop business through contacting customers at appropriate management levels in the pursuit of systems and solutions business and maintaining present customers and customer base.
- Develop the growth strategy with assigned targeted accounts/ applications within your assigned industries.
- Collaborate with sales, proposals, contracts, engineering and project management teams to establish a value proposition, competitive positioning, and pricing strategies to maximize revenue and gross margin dollars while minimizing risk based on scope identification of system requirements in solicitation documents.
- Establish contractual risk mitigation strategies by performing risk analysis working with Contracts and Negotiations. Assure proper definition and delimitation of scope of work is reported within released proposal documentation.
- Review and clarify customer's commercial, technical specifications, and requirements documents in development of proposed solutions.
- Bachelor's Degree

- The ability to travel 25% of the time.
- Related experience working with specific applications in Pulp, Paper and/or Converting industry markets.
- Experience with system design preferably with experience related to RA products, solutions and services and Connected Enterprise messaging.
- Experience in a customer-facing position, business development or sales role where you have direct sales facing interaction with customers and suppliers.
- Some experience with marketing solutions, products and services to customers.
- 5 years previous experience with solution development preferably with experience related to AC and DC drives applications, control systems, process automation, application software development, custom hardware system development, or custom software application development.
- Some experience with proposals development and customer presentations.
- Prior experience with Rockwell Automation products, solutions and services.
- Experience with Rockwell Automation product lines (PowerFlex Drives, ControlLogix/GuardLogix Controllers)
- Experience in Legacy & 3rd Party Systems (PLC5, Reliance AutoMax, GE, Siemens, etc.).
- An understanding of the proposal process, and the skills associated with proposal management, procedures and generation.
- Experience with Rockwell Automation proposal development systems (IFS, QuoteBuilder, ProMs).
- Experience with estimation tools. Drive Lineup & Configuration, Engineering & Manufacturing Estimations and/or Drive Motor Specification.
- End User & Distributor Customer Relationships with core Drive System Business
- Pulp, Paper & Tissue Industries experience·
- Understanding of NEC/NFPA and other North America agency standards for electrical drive systems and power distribution.
