Monitors the extension of key account credit lines and releases orders in accordance with established policies, practices, and procedures in a timely and efficient manner. Works with customer portals to gain insight and communicate with customers. Maximizes collection efforts to improve cash flow. Manages significant volume of transactions often requiring complicated account reconciliations.   • Analyzes reports to make ship/hold decisions based on department procedures.
  • Communicates directly with customers, sales force, and brand personnel regarding: order release, payment negotiation, unapplied payments, and other inquires.
  • Gathers, investigates, analyzes and processes key account deductions.
  • Research and extracts data from customer account portals for deduction classification and validation.
  • Communicates with customer to explain invalid deductions, provides support and seeks repayment.
  • Review process for classifying open residual items remaining on customer accounts with the appropriate deduction code and recommends process improvements for cash application team.
  • Researches a significant volume of deductions, overpayments, credit requests and determines appropriate resolution.
  • Develops complex reconciliations on accounts, analyzes exposure, develops customer specific statements, and periodically reports to brand/corporate leadership.
  • Gathers quantifying data and generates reports to assist in collections and identifying problem areas.
  • Reviews severely delinquent accounts and recommends them to be placed with a Collection Agency in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Advises supervisor of uncollectable balances and processes charge-offs.
  • Identifies and recommends opportunities for improvement in existing procedures and processes consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
  • Associates or Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Prefer 2+ years experience in a wholesale credit, receivables or finance environment.
  • Excel and Word proficiency.
  • SAP and High Radius experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good time management skills with ability to work independently on multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills / problem solver.
  • Internal and external relationship builder.
