Guide and mentor Senior/Lead Cloud Architects and engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code.Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with executives, product owners, security, and operations to align roadmaps, articulate trade-offs, and influence investment decisions.Innovation & Thought Leadership
Evaluate emerging technologies (serverless, AI/ML ops, edge, confidential computing, sustainability) and develop proof-of-concepts that inform product direction.Governance & Risk Management
Own cloud security and compliance architecture for HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2; drive design reviews, threat modeling, and continuous assurance.Optimization & Cost Management
Implement architectural patterns and FinOps practices that optimize resource utilization and reduce the total cost of ownership.Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
Author architecture blueprints, whitepapers, and presentations for both technical and executive audiences; evangelize best practices across the organization.Required Qualifications10 + years designing and delivering large-scale cloud solutions, with 5 + years in a principal/lead architecture role.Deep, hands-on expertise with AWS (preferred) and strong working knowledge of Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.Demonstrated success in architecting highly available, secure, and compliant systems in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, or similar).Mastery of cloud networking, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/AKS/GKE), CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).Proven ability to influence technical direction at the C-suite level while diving deep with engineering teams.Exceptional communication, facilitation, and leadership skills; able to simplify complexity for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred) or equivalent professional experience.Preferred QualificationsOne or more expert-level cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7) and data protection regulations (HIPAA, GDPR).Strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), chaos engineering, or resilience testing.Public speaking or authorship in industry forums, conferences, or publications.Familiarity with advanced security frameworks (Zero Trust, confidential computing, KMS/HSM integrations).We are an equal-opportunity employer and do not discriminate because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, marital status, veteran status, age, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity or expression or any other legally protected category.
