- Minimum Experience: One (1) year working in Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Education Technology, Instructional Technology or a related field.
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance
- Proficient in Knowledge Management Systems Administration (i.e. SharePoint).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Reader, Notepad, and Paint. Proficiency in Microsoft Access and Outlook, Internet Explorer and Chrome, Windows Media Player, and Snipping Tool (or other screen capture software).
- Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Education Technology, Instructional Technology or a related field.
- Experience working in an Instructional Technology Role
- Experience with Educational Delivery Systems/Learning Management Systems (e.g Cornerstone OnDemand).
- Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite (to include: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash Pro, and Captivate)
- Develops, edits, and maintains publications, user guides, job aids, and training materials, ensuring consistency with DoS, NFATC, and School/Center standards for content, structure, and usability.
- Collaborates with SMEs and program officials, observing demonstrations or tests as needed, to gather content for documentation.
- Provides solutions for documentation and publication needs, including curriculum aesthetics, media, graphics, animations, and complex format conversions.
- Provides guidance, troubleshooting, and training to staff on program templates, publication standards, and technical tools.
- Responds to requests for assistance, helping staff resolve formatting, system, and process-related challenges.
- Serves as Site Collection Administrator (SCA) for all School/Center SharePoint tenants.
- Designs, implements, and maintains SharePoint governance, policies, and organizational schema, including custom naming conventions for file management.
- Develops and manages project, course, staff portal, and front-facing sites (on OpenNet and ClassNet as clearance allows), as well as libraries, lists, and custom tools.
- Manages permissions, oversees site security, and supports Divisions in clarifying needs, designing solutions, and administering sites.
- Provides troubleshooting, training, and user support, including response to custom build requests.
- Coordinates regularly with SMEs, program officials, and leadership to ensure documentation and systems meet organizational needs.
- Serves as primary liaison with SharePoint coordinators across NFATC and participates in the SharePoint community of practice.
- Works with IRM and Training Management Systems to address escalated technical issues and provision accounts.
- Coordinates with the Bureau of Global Public Affairs to maintain the School’s external web presence.
- Advises Divisions on using Office 365 tools to automate processes, collect data, and manage approvals.
- Guides staff in transitioning from shared drives to Office 365 tools (OneDrive, SharePoint, Groups, Teams).
- Tracks IRM and Office 365 updates, communicates impacts, and advocates for adoption of O365, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Provides information and end-user support for IRM-approved remote access solutions.
- Maintains the School and Division sections of the NFATC intranet, including permissions, directories, and content.
- Supports overall website presence by ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and adherence to standards.
