At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position.***Requirements:Job SummaryThe Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A) assists staff members with and contributes to the implementation of the total resident/patient plan of care which includes activities of daily living (eating, dressing, personal care, toileting), education, recreation and transportation in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of the nursing department.The C.N.A is directly responsible to the RN/LPN team leader. The C.N.A maintains resident/patient privacy and confidentiality and performs duties in compliance with BNRC's, A Member of Covenant Health, policies and procedures.Education
Must hold an active Maine C.N.A License
Other Required Skills
Assists with all resident/patient routine activities of daily living including:
Feeding
Bathing
Ambulating
Skin Care
Demonstrates effective listening skills to provide support for resident/patient needs
Ability to take initial vital signs and provide weights to nursing staff in a timely manner
Responsible for reporting changes in vital signs or measurements promptly to the Supervisor/Charge Nurse
Always follows procedures for Universal Precautions
Monitors and promptly records resident/patient intake and output in accordance with unit standards or physician orders
Maintains confidentiality of resident/patient related issues; supports resident/patient rights
Maintains productive working relationship with healthcare team members
Is a team player, courteous, diplomatic and tactful when interacting with others
Provides additional care as directed by the RN/LPN
Assist with orientation of patient/resident/family to unit, facility and services
Can deliver patient/resident care promptly and accurately as directed by the RN/LPN and in accordance with plan of care
Ability to empathize with residents, patients and families
Able to remain objective in difficult circumstances including interactions with demanding residents and patients
Demonstrates flexibility when needed
Seeks help and assists in developing solutions for problems
Has a passion for working with long term care residents and skilled rehabilitation patients to provide excellent resident and patient care
