GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThis position supports ongoing projects of The Center for Health Equity, Education, and Research (CHEER). See https://iit-cheer.org/ for more information. Specifically, the clinical research associate will assist with data collection, data entry and analysis, dissemination and other general office tasks. COMMUNICATIONSEmployee will perform written, verbal, and electronic communications within the department, with other university departments, with community partners, collaborating researchers, research participants, and funding institutions.
CUSTOMER SERVICEThis position requires customer service-related skills in communications with research participants, including during the recruitment and participant retention components of research.

Applicants should have experience conducting empirical research in Psychology or closely related field.
Knowledge & SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and SPSS software required for data entry, analysis, and other research tasks. Good organization skills needed to manage projects. Strong interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication is required.
SUPERVISION & BUDGET AUTHORITYThis position may include supervision of up to 4 student research assistants, or total of 800 student hours annually.There is no budget authority.

1. Collect data from research participants through online surveys, in-person surveys, focus group interviews
2. Enter data into SPSS or other software packages
3. Maintain security of confidential data
4. Supervise other research assistants in lab as lead RA as needed

1. Complete administrative/Ad-Hoc tasks related to the research project as needed
2. Organize meetings
3. Communicate with other offices across campus
4. Other tasks as they arise throughout the course of the study
