Job Category: CasinoJob Description:OBSUMMARY:Assists VP of Operations/AGM in development of overall strategic plan and directs the ongoing operations of our Table Games, Slot Operations, Casino Bars, Slot Performance and EVS teams for Horseshoe Council Bluffs.DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: Casino Operations Managers, Poker Manager, Slot Performance Manager, EVS SupervisorKEY JOB FUNCTIONS:Develops and implements specific strategies for customer service, comping, games layout and mix, revenue growth, and expense management in order to maximize profitability.Drives improved results through staff development and training programs, and established methods, procedures and guidelines to maintain desired standards, and high quality service, then monitors results through inspection, evaluation and analysis. Makes changes if necessary to achieve end result.Responsible for ensuring optimal operations and consistent high quality standards in areas of responsibility during all business hours.Responsible for overall department budgets, profit and loss statements, cost analysis, labor analysis, planning and promotions.Maintains vendor relationships, negotiates purchase of table games equipment, and implementation of new games.Management accountability for all Team Members for day to day and long term operations to include hiring, training and developing employees which includes coaching, mentoring and appropriate performance management up to and including separation.Responsible for the overall integrity of daily operations, ensures compliance and training with all regulatory, internal control, and associated policies and proceduresBuilds guest relations through positive and continuing visibility to customer, soliciting/requesting feedback, and responding to guest concerns appropriately and professionally to resolve any issues.Presents oneself as a credit to the Company and encourages others to do the same.Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.Lead an organization with methods and actions that are ethical and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies.Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks.Champion, within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior.Create a compliance culture within the organization and foster an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting potential violations or misconduct.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
5 years progressively more challenging experience in a gaming operations role, table games experience required.QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to prepare, understand, and analyze business strategies, Budget & P&L Statements and Business Plans.Good oral and written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English.Ability to use a personal computer and appropriate software (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access and Microsoft Outlook).Proven managerial, problem solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment within established policies.Must possess excellent interpersonal and employee relations skills.Ability to respond in a calm and decisive manner and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers, guests and vendors.Must be able to provide multi-shift responsibility with emphasis on swing and weekends.Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and mobility to move easily around pit area as well as entire property for entire shift.Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated businessWORK ENVIRONMENT:Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds and air quality.About Us: Harrah's Council Bluffs, Horseshoe Council Bluffs, the Mid-America Center, and the Hilton Garden Inn, all part of Caesars Entertainment's expansive portfolio, are looking to bring the best talent from around the area to the Empire.
