
Staff Electrical Engineer - Team Lead in Quantum for Aerospace

- Management of a team responsible for electronics and microsystems architecture, design, test, and verification, including digital, mixed-signal, and analog electronics from DC to RF frequencies
- Presenting progress and results to the end customer
- Design of analog and/or mixed signal subsystems, FPGA-based controllers
- Translating product requirements into electronic and microsystems architecture and designs
- Execution of modelling, simulation, and analytical efforts required to enable product performance
- Integration of electronics subsystems with mechanical, optical, and other subsystems
- Identifying and engaging key suppliers
- Following Infleqtion's Product Lifecycle Process and supporting Phase gate reviews, critical design reviews, and executive updates
- Supporting development of risk management plans and risk resolution, and supporting reliability analysis and continuous improvement
- Coaching and mentoring junior engineers
- Other duties as assigned or required
- Bachelor's degree required, with a focus in design electronics and/or embedded systems engineering
- 8+ years of relevant and progressive experience in similar roles including electrical design
- Experience developing electronic systems for challenging non-terrestrial environments, e.g. LEO, MEO
- Experience mentoring more junior engineers and leading teams
- Experience providing consultancy and strategic support to electrical engineering projects
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with all levels of an organization; Professional-level communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work comfortably in a highly collaborative, cross-functional, team-oriented, and matrixed environment

- Master's or PhD degree in electrical engineering or embedded systems engineering
- Proficiency in FPGA design, implementation, and verification
- Demonstrated ability to optimize FPGA designs for performance, power, and resource utilization in real-world applications
- Experience in delivering new, advanced technologies to commercial markets
- Experience in hardware DFx (design for cost, manufacturing, assembly, test, sustainment)
- Experience working with complex systems that integrate hardware, firmware, and software. Knowledge of best practices in software engineering is a plus
- Familiarity with Rad-hard microprocessors
- Familiarity with embedded firmware
- Familiarity with quantum computing, mechanics, or physics
- Familiarity with electro-optical design and integrated photonics
