
Contract Review Engineer

- Complete contract review for incoming purchase orders by examining part drawings, specifications, and flow downs.
- Design manufacturing routings from detailed and complex print specifications.
- Utilize ERP software systems to create routings and bills of material.
- Develop and implement changes to processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Identify new suppliers for outside services and lead their qualification.
- Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements.
- Identify suppliers and obtain quotes for necessary outside services.
- Partner with the manufacturing team to optimize equipment and special process vendors.
- Update quotes for repeat orders to strategically grow the business.
- Assist other departments in interpreting design specifications, quality, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing area to define and refine production routings.
- Assist with root cause analysis, corrective action, and internal audits.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Quality, Mechanical, Manufacturing Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in Quality, Product, or Process Engineering.
- Strong technical reading and writing skills for analyzing government and special order contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Detail-oriented and hands-on problem solver.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of spring design, manufacturing processes, and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with AS9100 regulatory requirements in the aerospace industry.
