- Work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment while supporting our in-house HR consultants professionally, efficiently, and timely.
- Work in partnership across departments to enhance client satisfaction, retention, and business development.
- Research and draft employee handbooks, HR policies, templates, job descriptions, and legal documents—including routine affidavits and subpoena responses.
- Support the HR Hotline by conducting intake calls, performing preliminary investigation screenings, and preparing case summaries.
- Analyze and compile information on federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Conduct legal research using statutes, regulations, case law, and other sources, and provide written guidance to HR Consultants.
- Assist in Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) claim administration, including preparing submissions, maintaining claim databases, and tracking related invoices.
- Conduct high-level wage and hour audits in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain and update system data to ensure accurate reporting and meaningful metrics. Generate reports and extract data as requested.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- The position may be remote and require reliable and consistent internet service and a quiet office environment suitable for conducting business calls and meetings without interruptions.
- Assist with template library maintenance, organization, and updates.
- Conduct audits of HR consulting functions as needed.
- Assist with training new Team Members as needed.
- Support Legal and HR teams with a myriad of issues.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- At least one (1) year of experience in Human Resources or as a paralegal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Solid understanding of Human Resources practices and employment law
- Strong legal research and writing skills, particularly in employment law
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, both remotely and in-person
- Flexible and adaptable to change, with a continuous improvement mindset
- Three (3) or more years of employment litigation experience
- Experience with multistate employment laws
- Familiarity with employment-related audits and agency responses
- Proficiency in Spanish or another language to support our diverse clientele
- Professional Employer Organization (PEO) or ASO experience is a plus
- ClientSpace and PrismHR knowledge is a plus
