Using hand tools and common power tools (drill press, band saw, grinder, etc.) to convert wood, metal, plastics, etc.
Testing new and existing products to a provided protocol; testing methods include, but not limited to, pressure mapping, friction, moisture vapor transmission rate, failure, impact, etc.
Performing basic chemistry lab functions such as ingredients measuring, mixing, and pH measurements.
Entering data into spreadsheets, providing basic statistical calculations and creating simple graphs/charts.
Writing first-draft protocols and reports.
Participating in initial pilot/production runs (assembly, pack out, inspections, testing, and reporting) under direction of supervisor.
Overseeing/performing preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment.
What you need
Bachelor's Degree required.
Basic understanding of the safety risks associated with the use of electrical equipment.
Basic materials knowledge including various types of wood, metal, textiles, adhesives, fasteners, foams, gels, films, composites, etc.
Capable of hand/machine sewing basic geometries for prototyping and production.
