HR Generalist / Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Hayward, CA (Onsite only, no hybrid or remote available)
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Pay: $33–$36+ / hour, DOEAbout the Role
This blended role owns Accounts Payable end to end—processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely payments—and serves as the onsite HR go-to for a ~40-employee team. You’ll handle new hires and terminations, employee relations, payroll updates, and safety program execution, with light IT support when needed (e.g., creating email accounts, basic printer/internet troubleshooting).
What You’ll Do
Accounts Payable & PayrollManage all of AP: enter/verify invoices, match POs, reconcile statements, resolve discrepancies, issue payments.Maintain vendor files and W-9s; track credits and terms.Support weekly payroll and timekeeping; process changes for new hires, terminations, and pay rate updates.HR OperationsRecruit and source for internal roles; post jobs, screen, schedule, and reference check.Lead onboarding: new-hire packets, I-9/E-Verify, orientations, HRIS set-up, email creation.Maintain accurate, confidential personnel and training records.Serve as employee relations point of contact; support performance management and reviews.Administer benefits tasks as needed (medical, dental/vision, 401(k), etc.).Partner on safety & compliance, including IIPP creation/implementation and ongoing training.General & IT SupportKeep HRIS and AP/ERP data clean and current; prepare reports as requested.Basic in-house IT triage: email address set-up, printer/internet troubleshooting.Other duties as assigned by leadership.
What You’ll BringBachelor’s degree preferred.2+ years in a well-rounded HR Generalist role and hands-on AP/Payroll experience (minimum).Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace; working knowledge of HRIS systems.Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and clear written/verbal communication.Spanish bilingual highly preferred.HR certification (PHR/SHRM-CP) a plus.Offer contingent on background and drug screen.
