- Integrate communications acquisition systems engineering tasks into model-based systems engineering tools, such as the Cameo systems modeler.
- Provide insight and solutions for improving communications acquisition simulation/stimulation.
- Assist with injected and over-the-air Developmental and Operational Test and Evaluation events as related to communications acquisition, as necessary.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert on training support for new communications acquisition capabilities.
- Participate in system design reviews, architecture working groups, and other milestone meetings as required in support of communications acquisition improvements.
- Analyze validity and relevance of communications acquisition-related requirements in System Performance Specification (SPS), as well as requirements related to Electronic Warfare (EW)/Electronic Support Measures (ESM).
- Coordinate with fleet representatives to ensure alignment of system capabilities to current operational tasking and requirements.
- Provide expertise and reviews of System Employment Manuals and relevant Navy doctrine as they pertain to communications, as well as the whole of Electronic Warfare/Electronic Support Measures.
- Provide analysis of current system baseline support of Navy doctrine and TTPs.
- Translate FDDs and draft system requirements in support of SCNs for APB capabilities
- Provide Operator-Machine Interface Working Group support for ESM/EW.
- Provide insights and analysis on current production Operator Machine Interface, as well as provide guidance and analysis on future OMI implementations, with a specific focus on communications acquisition.
- Assist in developing and proving out operational use cases for new communications acquisition capabilities.
- Provide subject matter expertise on threat signals of interest and guidance on relevant threat databases.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, etc.) preferred, will consider a BS in STEM fields with sufficient direct Engineering Experience.
- In lieu of a degree, candidates with significant, demonstrated experience operating DoD Electronic warfare, Imaging and/or Radar systems (especially Navy and Submarine specific equipment) will be strongly considered.
- Position requires US Citizenship and an active security clearance with the US Government.
- 5+ years' experience and knowledge associated with engineering functions related to design, troubleshooting, analysis, reporting and/or testing of complex systems.
- Candidates must be able to work independently, collaboratively as part of a team, and interface regularly with a wide range of client personnel.
- Proficiency with MS office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat.
- Previous experience in operating and maintaining the following systems is highly desired
- AN/BLQ-10 Electronic Warfare System
