This position facilitates and executes the design, build, testing and implementation of Epic tools and content as an Epic Physician Builder to meet clinical requirements as well as regulatory and compliance components of the clinical programs. This position requires excellent clinical skills across all aspects of medicine, exceptional collaboration capabilities, and proficiency in working with a multidisciplinary team across the enterprise.Essential Responsibilities:Design and support, build, test, and implement Epic tools and content (e.g., SmartForms, SmartSets, Order Sets, Navigators, Reports) to support clinical workflows.Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Epic solutions.Participate in system upgrades, new module implementations, and optimization projects.Provide clinical insight to ensure that EHR tools align with evidence-based practices and regulatory requirements.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Epic content and configuration.Educate and support end-users, including physicians and clinical staff, on new tools and workflows.Maintain documentation of build activities, decisions, and testing outcomes.Serve as a liaison between clinical teams and IT analysts to ensure alignment of goals and priorities.Foster a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of healthcare professionals.Provide elbow-to-elbow support for new OCHIN Epic Implementation projects and support Super Users.Supporting Responsibilities:Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.Follow privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information.Perform other duties as assigned.SUCCESS PROFILEWork Experience: A minimum of five years of clinical experience as an attending physician is preferred. A minimum of one year of experience working with the elderly or frail population is required. A minimum of one year of experience working with Epic is required. Experience in a value-based healthcare organization, payer model, or a closely related field is also preferred. Experience in PACE or other Long Term Services and Supports settings is preferred.Education, Certificates, Licenses: A Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO) with an unrestricted license to practice medicine from the Oregon State Board of Medicine is required. Board certification recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) is preferred. Certification as an Epic Physician Builder is preferred.Knowledge: Must have an excellent understanding of all areas of medical conditions, treatment, and care. Sensitivity to the health beliefs and needs of a diverse and aged population, along with the ability to execute an Age-Friendly care model, is essential. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team are essential. Advanced knowledge of process improvement methodologies and system design techniques to optimize healthcare delivery. In-depth understanding of Epic applications (EMR and PM), including configuration, optimization, and support.
