As an RSO Coordinator, you will provide administrative desk support at the Resident Services Office. This includes monitoring CCTV security cameras, partnering with residents to complete service & incident reports, dispatching RSO Staff on patrols, and providing prompt & friendly service to additional resident needs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Monitors all RSO Staff patrols and maintains a high level of communication with them.
  • Functions as central dispatching area for RSO Staff.
  • Monitors closed circuit television (CCTV) for unusual activity and physical protection of employees and residents/tenants for facilities and parking lots, coordinating appropriate responses as needed.
  • Work with emergency personnel, residents, and public in a professional manner to solve any problems that occur.
  • Investigate all reported incidents and decides what actions to take based on situation, known facts, and position limitations.
  • Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations.
  • Working knowledge of customer security requirements and incident investigation.
  • Provides any needed assistance to residents, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.
  • Performs periodic and random security inspections and prepares security reports as necessary. Issues security violation citations as required by inspections.
  • Maintains inspection reports and records and advises senior management of deficiencies and remedial/disciplinary efforts to ameliorate deficiencies.
  • Prepares personnel actions and forms to request security clearance/special access and maintains records of such requests. Briefs incoming staff on security processes and debriefs outgoing staff.
  • Establishes and maintains procedures on handling, safeguarding and destruction of documents and data in accordance with established processes and appropriate timelines.
  • Assists in the implementation and administration of automated security systems. Maintains records for periodic secure systems inspections with customer liaisons and other technical professionals.
  • Fills out miscellaneous paperwork (e.g. parking contracts, key logs, proximity card requests, etc.) whenever necessary.
  • Notify Resident Services Administrator of all inspections, elevator problems, and maintenance problems.
  • Other tasks & duties as assigned based on business need.
Experience and Skills:Minimum Requirements
  • 2-5 years of related customer service experience is required; ideally in a role with emphasis in security and safety
  • Must have flexible schedule availability (including overnight, weekends, and holidays)
  • Basic computer skills, including typing 40+ wpm and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Teams)
  • Customer service experience including working with culturally diverse customers
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations in a calm, professional manner to internal and external customers
  • Proven discretionary judgment with ability to resolve both routine and non-routine conflict issues
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Proficiency (verbal) in the following languages: Somali, Oromo, and Amharic
  • Military, law enforcement, or related private security experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • This position operates in a residential housing and office setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
ADDITIONAL SCREENING REQUIREMENTS
  • Successful completion of pre-employment strength test or 'CRT examination' is required.
