Visual Soft, Inc is seeking qualified candidates (US Citizens with active ACTIVE TOP SECRET clearance - a requirement on its sub contract with work share on a Project with a Major Prime) for the following position for a federal agency.
Title: Database Administrator - Mid Level - Active TS required
Compensation: based on experience, qualifications and certifications with std benefits

LOCATION: Huntsville, ALJOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Evaluate and recommends available database management system products to support validated user requirements
  • Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user\applications
  • Maintain Oracle systems on a Linux operating system and (also desired MS SQL databases admin experience) on day-to-day basis
  • Shall be responsible for backup and recovery operations for servers
  • Perform quality control of ingest and transform processes and products produced
  • Perform rudimentary Linux systems administrative functions
  • Responsible for entity relational diagrams and documentation of Oracle configuration
  • Over all 5-6 years of information technology experience
  • 4+ years of Oracle database administration experience
  • 3+ years of Linux administration experience
  • Multiple Information Technology certifications
  • Knowledge of Government-wide system design, information technology equipment and services
  • BS degree at minimum, experience can be substituted in some cases in lieu of BS degree at the discretion of the government
Government Requirements
  • Clearance - must have an Active TOP SECRET clearance and undergo background investigation and a drug test
  • Citizenship - Must be a US Citizen
Our standard benefits include: Our standard benefits include 3 weeks of Paid time off (PTO that includes sick leave). All full time employees or w-2 employees with no benefits will be eligible to participate in company's 401k program after 90 days of employment with a company match of 4%, immediate vesting. In addition, all w-2 employees are eligible to be part of company's profit sharing, no employee contributions required.
