We are looking for a candidate that is an enthusiastic, team oriented professional with strong technical capabilities and experience in hydrogeology and contaminant transport. In this role, you will work with our experienced team of hydrogeologists, geologists and geochemists on projects in the remediation, civil infrastructure, waste management.This exciting role will involve:
  • Design and implementation of hydrogeological investigations of soil, bedrock, groundwater.
  • Overseeing and participating in field investigations involving drilling, geologic logging, sampling of various media, borehole instrumentation, well design/installation and aquifer testing.
  • Interpretation and reporting of site investigation results.
  • Development of 3D Geological Models using various digital tools and geostatistical software packages including EVS and Leapfrog.
  • Development of numerical groundwater models using MODFLOW, FEFLOW and other software packages.
  • Working closely with environmental scientists and risk assessors to characterize and resolve environmental liabilities.
  • Project Management duties including preparing proposals/workplans and managing project budgets, schedules, health and safety and project staffing.
  • Application of technical knowledge of site investigation, remediation, and contaminated site regulations to resolve complex environmental problems.
  • Providing hydrogeological input to environmental assessments of proposed commercial and industrial developments.
  • Preparation of comprehensive technical reports describing field investigations, remedial activities and monitoring results to satisfy regulatory requirements.
  • Development of junior and intermediate staff through ongoing mentoring.
  • Travel as required to meet project needs.
  • Liaison with clients and regulators.
QualificationsWe are particularly looking for candidates with the following:
  • +5 years of related experience, with a multinational company is preferred
  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Some fieldwork experience
  • Motivation, initiative and organizational skills to work effectively in a busy multi-disciplinary environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility to promptly respond to the changing demands of projects and programs
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and digitally
  • Ability to produce and understand written reports without consistent revision ability to maintain good records of site-based activities
  • Strong attention to details
  • Reasonable flexibility and willingness to travel nationally to conduct site visits
  • Strong personal initiative, agility, and resourcefulness
  • Licensed to drive a vehicle in ITA (essential).
