Genesis10 is seeking a Training Coordinator for a contract-to-hire position for a manufacturing client. This position is on-site and will be located in Lenox, IA.Compensation: $18.00 + $20.00 per hour.
PPE is provided by the client.JOB SUMMARY:
The Training Coordinator is responsible for building and sustaining a high-performance workforce at the Lenox site through structured training programs, skills development, and competency evaluations. This role partners closely with Production, Human Resources, Safety, and Leadership teams to ensure consistent, effective training and onboarding processes that drive operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. Additionally, the Training Coordinator plays a key role in developing and maintaining elements of the client Execution System (MES) and fostering a culture of learning, safety, and compliance.
This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support Supervisors on the Employee Training Qualification Program for Operations employees. This includes skills and competency assessments, training, and validation of trainees with respect to their performance against established training objectives and recommendation of additional skill requirements as needed.
  • Lead and coach on-the-job trainers (OJTs) and subject matter experts (SMEs) across departments to ensure effective delivery of training content.
  • Build and maintain Train-the-Trainer programs to expand training capabilities within the site.
  • Maintain accuracy and completeness of the SRMP (Skills, Roles, Matrix & Progression) training matrix.
  • Be available to Lead or Co-Lead SRMP Element(s).
  • Develop learning and development capabilities per MFI L&D Assessment.
  • Provide insight for hiring process of new employees.
  • Coordinate external training resources.
  • Deploy L&D standards and processes in alignment with L&D Pillar methodology.
  • Assist Human Resources Department to ensure a consistent implementation of the new hire orientation and onboarding process.
  • Development, training and sustaining MES elements including but not limited to: Management Operating System (MOS), Centerlines, Clean-Inspect-Lubricate, Line Walks, Root Cause Analysis, and 5S.
  • Assist in developing Standard Work Instructions, checklists, and visual aids. Source training materials from vendors and other plants compiling a training databank and library.
  • Maintain files of training materials and organized log(s) of all training conducted including benchmark strengths, new employee onboarding, and day to day training requirements.
  • Periodic attendance of training seminars some which will require out of town or overnight arrangements.
  • Work on any shift as needed to meet operational teams' training needs.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.EXPERIENCE:
Seeking a candidate with a minimum of 1 year of experience in training, education, learning & development, and program development. Must possess extensive knowledge of equipment operations, including best practices, principles of operation, system parameters, troubleshooting, and corrective actions. This role requires the ability to develop and deliver effective training programs that enhance both employee skillsets and equipment performance.COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
To promote a manufacturing environment that is both safe and efficient for people and food production, the ability to effectively communicate in basic English—both verbally and in writing—is required. This includes the ability to clearly speak, read, and comprehend safety instructions, policies, procedures, and warnings for oneself and others in both routine and emergency situations. The role also requires the ability to confidently and effectively communicate with individuals and large groups to ensure critical information is understood and applied consistently across the team.LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must also possess the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Strong communication skills required to effectively present information in both one-on-one and large group settings. Must be able to respond to questions from internal and external customers, vendors, and all levels of management.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

2.Certified Trainer designation (preferred) – such as Train-the-Trainer certification, OSHA 10/30 certification, or equivalent
