- Utilizes principles and skills in communication and interviewing techniques in obtaining a comprehensive health history to formulate a plan of care and make decisions for appropriate therapeutic interventions
- Uses principles and skills in advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings.
- Synthesizes knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomics to access, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients.
- Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes in order to promote continuity of care.
- Performs specialty specific technical procedures safely and proficiently.
- Produces documentation that initiates, follows, and revises patients' plan of care
- Focuses on adherence to clinical pathways, protocols, and policies to ensure high reliability of clinical program.
- Promotes population health through the evaluation of care delivery models as they pertain to community, environmental, cultural and socio-economical dimensions of health.
- Prepares, cleans and sterilizes instruments and maintains equipment, disposing of contaminated items according to protocol. Keeps patient exam rooms stocked, clean and orderly.
- Demonstrates contribution to unit based programs and research strategies to monitor and continuously improve the quality of patient care.
- Assist in the identification of ineffective and costly processes and take actions to improve those processes
- Works in partnerships with peers and other disciplines.
- Adapts to changes in workload assignments to meet changing needs of the individuals, patient, or the unit
- Identifies realistic and measurable annual goals for advanced professional nursing development
- Complies with THR Human Resource Policies: Attendance, Dress Code
- Works with unit leaders and hospital leadership to meet compliance and business needs
- Recognizes and communicates ethical and legal concerns through established channels of communications
Bachelor's Degree Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Req And
Master's Degree Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program Req
Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency ReqExperience
2 Years experience as a Nurse Practitioner PrefLicenses and Certifications
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And
APRN - Advanced Practice Nurse Upon Hire Req And
NP - Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Req And
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 30 Days Pref And
Other must be credentialed by Medical Staff Svcs Upon Hire Req AndSkills
