We are seeking Plant Manager, for a client, for one of their facilities south of Madison. This dairy company has been in business for 40 years and they are growing significantly with plans to add production lines and expand the size of the plant significantly. This position is ideal for someone who prefers to manage from the floor, not an office, and enjoys mentoring personnel.Key Responsibilities:· Oversee full scope of plant operations: production, maintenance, quality, sanitation, logistics, and budget· Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards· Lead capital projects and implement process improvements· Analyze performance metrics to optimize output and reduce costs· Partner with senior leadership on long-term strategic planning· Champion employee development, morale, and operational excellenceQualifications:· 2+ years of experience in plant leadership within the dairy or food manufacturing industry; smoked or dairy preferred· Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, regulated environment· Strong skills in communication, performance management, and team development· Experience with plant engineering, maintenance, and lean manufacturing preferred· Hands-on leadership style with a mentoring mindset and strong interpersonal skills; on the floor approachThis is a critical leadership hire and the company is moving quickly.
