- The East Bank Campus is a teaching hospital and has 24 newly renovated Operating Rooms.
- Our Operating Room is performing an average of 60 cases per day.
- We provide innovative surgical suites, including a hybrid suite and intraoperative MRI suites, for adult patients needing surgical intervention.
- Our welcoming, accepting team is filled with a wide variety of personalities who are all kind and help foster our family-like atmosphere. We are looking for a new team member who is open with their communication and collaboration, who is willing to learn new skills, who is flexible, who can handle stress well, and who is open to the challenges involved with our complex surgeries.

- Supplying appropriate instruments, suture, and specialty items.
- Maintaining aseptic technique during all sterile procedures.
- Ensuring accurate identification and handling of specimens.
- Counting all required sponges, sharps, and instruments.
- Assuring availability and accurate functioning of supplies and equipment.
- Modifying clinical interventions based on population served.
- Nurturing a culture of improvement, efficiency, and innovative thinking.
- Anticipating the surgeon’s needs.
- Following appropriate action in emergency situations.
- Complete one of the following by hire date:
- Military Surgical Assistant; OR
- LPN (licensed in MN) Surgical Assistant; OR
- Surgical Technologist training
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through Health Care Providers (or ability to obtain by hire date)
- Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- AST certification or certification eligible at time of hire
- 1 to 3 years surgical tech experience
- Knowledge of physical, psychosocial, and cognitive developmental needs of population served.
- Knowledge of age-appropriate outcomes and interventions.
- Demonstrate the ability to work under stress in a variety of situations.
- Ability to work well under a team environment.
