Compensation: To $65K.Job Overview - Payroll Specialist - 33808We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our client's team and manage all payroll functions. This role is initially onsite, but will ultimately allow for some hybrid work.
  • Process timely and accurate payroll for salaried and hourly employees in UKG (separate cycles).
  • Respond promptly to employee payroll inquiries, providing clear and professional assistance.
  • Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies, identify root causes, and develop long-term solutions.
  • Audit payroll deductions (benefits, 401(k), etc.) for accuracy.
  • Verify local, state, and federal tax compliance, including reporting and registration requirements.
  • Reconcile monthly benefit billings and support annual open enrollment processes.
  • Administer garnishments and wage attachments across multiple states.
  • Complete quarterly audits of 401(k), HSA, and FSA contributions.
  • Assist with year-end and compliance audits, including Worker's Compensation and payroll tax audits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of multi-state payroll processing experience; UKG experience strongly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of payroll compliance laws, including state tax and overtime regulations.
