- Developing a working knowledge of contracts and grants utilized in Workforce Development Services and ensuring services provided meet the requirements of these contracts and grants.
- Ensuring all documentation meets the requirements of the funding stream, CARF, and legal entities.
- Serving as the liaison between the funding stream and Goodwill, actively participating in job and extended evaluation development.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records and writing reports according to funding stream guidelines.
- Engaging in constructive and open communications with all Goodwill employees and direct reports.
- Developing relationships with outside services and making appropriate referrals based on client needs.
- Providing billable units to accounting in an accurate and timely manner.
- Providing outcomes to the Mission Services Director to generate the Outcome Management Report and establish the performance level of the Workforce Development Services department.
- Bachelor's degree in social services or related field required. Additional related experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to react quickly to situations and provide solid guidance in line with needs of clients, requirements of funding streams, policies of Goodwill and legal requirements.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet stringent deadlines.
- Ability to motivate others and relate to and understand the needs and problems of people seeking employment who may have multiple barriers to finding employment and come from various social and ethnic backgrounds, cultural settings and individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to function under pressure, be self-directed, and be responsible for carrying out job related activities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to use discretion and sound judgment when working independent of supervision with clients and funding streams while interpreting and implementing general placement policies.
- Ability to adjust to a flexible schedule based on a 40-hour work week, efficiently organizing tasks, and prioritizing job responsibilities with a focus on meeting clients' needs as the top priority.
- Ability to mediate, negotiate, and resolve client and funding stream grievances on behalf of the client and/or funding stream.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and provide proof of insurance to travel to different job sites.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Flexible availability.
- Able to frequently bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Travel to Goodwill satellite offices, funding stream's offices or client meetings in public facilities.
