This is a dual-impact role where you’ll wear two hats: exceptional swim coach and lifeguard certification trainer. You'll teach engaging swim lessons, develop swimmers of all levels, and inspire comfort and capability in the water. At the same time, you’ll help elevate our safety standards by training the next generation of lifeguards through American Red Cross certification programs and in-service refreshers.From building water confidence in kids to training emergency response in teens and adults, you’ll be at the heart of a safe and thriving aquatics program.Your Role on the Team – What You’ll Be LeadingLead private and group swim lessons for all ages and abilitiesMentor and develop swim instructors and lifeguardsTeach American Red Cross lifeguard certification and re-certification coursesConduct safety audits and in-service trainings for lifeguardsCollaborate with the Aquatics Director to grow swim programs and improve team performanceEnsure pool rules, emergency procedures, and safety standards are upheldAct as a strong communicator with parents, team members, and leadershipWhat You Bring – Your StrengthsA passion for teaching and a calm, confident presence in the waterStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage swimmers of all levelsA commitment to professionalism and high standards of safetyThe desire to build a culture of learning, fun, and accountabilityCore QualificationsCurrent American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (including CPR/AED and First Aid)Current Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) Certification requiredExperience teaching swim lessons and leading aquatic programsWater Safety Instructor (WSI) certification preferred but not requiredAbility to work evenings and weekends as neededTeam Member Experience
