Description :Job Summary:Under the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Training & Leave Coordinator maintains and updates the learning management system and provides support to departments regarding training and development programs including; evaluating training, managing annual training and year end tasks, managing monthly reports to directors, assists with course design as requested and leads the training system monthly meeting. Ensures employee certifications, licensure, and training records are current and in compliance with state and regulatory requirements. Works with Executives and Directors to assess training needs of the organization. Coordinates the support for all leave of absence cases (FMLA, WA PFML, Workers Compensation, Short Term and Long Term Disability), from the initial notice through the employee’s return to work. Gathers and ensures completion of required paperwork, including medical certifications, determines leave eligibility, designates or denies leaves as appropriate, recertifies leaves, completes time sheet adjustments for employees on leave, and tracks and accounts for leave time used. Ensures compliance with federal and state laws. Participates in the development and implementation of other HR programs, activities, and operations as assigned.Education and Training:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
AA or BS in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three years of administrative support experience; Human Resources experience or education strongly preferred.
Experience with e-learning, development, and LMS platforms including Health Stream and Articulate.
Knowledge of FMLA and state leave of absence laws preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; focus on grammar, spelling and composition.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Operational knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools; Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods and techniques.
