- Class Schedule is typically 4 days a week for 4 hours
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid Driver's License (minimum 2 years) & Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Candidate must have high school diploma or GED
- Successfully complete Criminal, Medical and Drug screening
- Commit to sign & commit to an 24 month agreement working as an FT EMT with Community Care Ambulance
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Must possess a valid Ohio EMT certification,
- Current CPR card and First Aid Card;
- Ashtabula County protocol and;
- Ohio Driver's License and meet Community Care's insurability requirements.
All emergency medical supplies and equipment within the scope of practice:
- Oxygen tanks and regulators, stretchers, splints, backboards, suction;
- Vehicle lights & sirens, radio, telephone;
- Beeper equipment, such as monitor/defib or pulse oximeter work it is beneficial if the basic EMT is familiar with this equipment.
- Must be able to assist a person with higher certification in performing their duties to the patient (i.e. setting up an IV, placing the patient on the cardiac monitor, etc.)
