- Strategic oversight of the Firm’s response to business continuity events
- Evaluating and enhancing the Firm’s business continuity and disaster recovery (“BCDR”) protocols, including business impact assessments (“BIA”) and BCP plans
- Partnering with business teams to review, challenge and refine business continuity plans, including recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO)
- Evaluating and enhancing the Firm’s move function testing designed to ensure critical business functions can be performed in different locations
- Identifying and proactively addressing potential and future concentration risks
- Evaluating and enhancing the Firm’s critical vendor BCP testing protocols
- Providing oversight of technical recovery testing performed by the Run Pillar, including ensuring that critical applications can be restored in a timely manner; that data backups and restoration protocols are effective and well-documented
- Providing oversight of cyber incident management, tabletop exercises and BCP-related communications performed by other members of the Protect Pillar
- Responding to client DDQs and participating in client due diligence meetings re: the Firm’s BCDR program
- Defining key metrics and KPIs to measure the maturity and effectiveness of the Firm’s BCDR program
- Serving as the primary point of contact with Internal Audit and external audit firms in connection with the Firm’s BCDR program
- Providing key metrics and updates to relevant Board and oversight Committees
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in business continuity / disaster recovery role, preferably within financial services
- Proficient technical background to provide oversight of technical recovery testing
- Proficient financial services experience to provide oversight of business recovery processes
- Prior experience participating in industry BCDR tests, including SIFMA, SWIFT and CHIPS
- Strong understanding of BCDR regulatory and industry frameworks (e.g., DFS Part 500, NIST, ISO)
- Good executive communication and crisis leadership
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
