
IT Technical Project Manager

- Partner with Senior Project managers and IT leadership to deliver critical technology solutions
- Manage and lead cross-functional technology teams to achieve committed project scope and deliverables on time, within budget, and with high quality
- Manage work relations and deliverables with 3rd party partners, internal IT, and internal technology teams
- Manage medium to large, often highly complex enterprise projects leveraging a “WAgile methodology” (Waterfall/Agile) and performing work under limited supervision; must have ability manage multiple projects with competing priorities, and perform in fast-paced environment
- Effective at coordinating and driving multi-task project plans and schedules, issue tracking and issue resolution
- Ensure clear communication of project status and an informed management team about issues and risks that could negatively impact the project
- Maintain a close working relationship with software, infrastructure, and hardware teams
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with both technical and non-technical communities and support teamwork across many diverse groups
- Develop and maintain all applicable project documentation, including: Project Budget, Scope, Schedule, Milestones, Issues/Risks/Changes, Status updates, Communication plans, and Contingency plans
- A deep and practical understanding of the entire lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation to closure.
- Proven ability to proactively drive projects forward and skillfully hold multiple parties accountable to ensure projects remain on schedule and achieve their objectives.
- Expert-level meeting facilitation skills, including setting clear agendas, effective task management, efficient time management, meticulous minute-taking, comprehensive documentation management, and decisive action item management in both formal and informal settings.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), including strong presentation and public speaking abilities (equally effective in person and via virtual meeting environments).
- Demonstrated capacity for effective and sound decision-making under pressure.
- A solid understanding of both Agile and Waterfall project/software development methodologies, and experience applying them in a practical "WAgile" context.
- A strong grasp of IT Infrastructure principles, including server, storage, virtualization, and data center concepts.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals, such as TCP/IP, Load Balancers, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and routing/switching.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Business) or relevant experience
- 3 - 5 years of IT Project Management experience with the ability to comfortably work in a fast paced, often ambiguous and event driven environment
- Experience with projects to upgrade or replace complex application architectures and significant experience with IT infrastructure modernization projects (e.g., data center migrations, network overhauls, server virtualization initiatives).
- Architectural Knowledge: Strong knowledge of application and infrastructure architectures is highly preferred, enabling you to understand the technical nuances of projects.
- Certifications (Preferred): PMP or Scrum certification
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Project (or equivalent)
