  • Serves as Regional Business Office Account Technician
  • Prepares, reviews, and processes vouchers and other billing statements and forms on appropriate payment systems, reviewing to ensure accuracy and appropriate code usage
  • Makes payments in a timely manner, following department policy and the Prompt Payment Act to ensure that service providers, vendors, and staff receive payment as soon as possible
  • Serves as liaison with providers, vendors, and staff regarding payment policy and requirements for processing payments through the voucher, child care payment, or board payment system
  • Analyzes accounts, bills, payments, or any other problem areas to assist in management of administrative services within the region
  • Reconciles regional records with Central Office, noting reasons for any differences and making corrections where necessary
  • Purchases, stocks, and ships office supplies to field offices
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of college and completion of an approved training course OR three years of related bookkeeping experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefers 2 years of experience in an office setting utilizing strong computer skills, particularly in mainframe accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook and Word
  • Prefers 2 years of experience in an office setting applying working knowledge of accounting techniques
  • Prefers 2 years of experience in an office setting applying working knowledge of state or non-state accounting procedures
  • Prefers 2 years of experience in an office setting utilizing working knowledge of office methods and procedures
