Toyota Manufacturing in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a Security & Fire Manager to oversee plant safety, emergency response, and security operations.This is not a behind-the-desk role – we’re looking for an outgoing, hands-on professional who thrives in the field, engaging with employees, contractors, team members, and leadership teams daily.Job Summary:
The Security/Fire Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing all security/fire operations to ensure the safety and protection of personnel, property, and assets. This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and the capacity to manage and develop security staff. The Security/Fire Manager must demonstrate practical decision-making skills in both emergency and non-emergency situations while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced environment. This position also requires flexibility and availability to provide support to the on-site security team 24/7 as needed. Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of security personnel to maintain a safe and secure
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate daily security operations, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Coordinate and oversee response to incidents, emergencies, and investigations.
- Provide 24/7 availability to support and advise the on-site security team during critical incidents.
- Prepare detailed reports, maintain records, and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to support safety and security initiatives.
- Conduct regular training and drills to ensure staff preparedness for emergency situations.
- Continuously assess risks and recommend improvements in security operations.
- Proven experience in security management, law enforcement, or a related field.

- Flexibility to provide 24/7 support to the on-site security team as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, or other industry credentials) are a plus.
This position requires flexibility to respond to emergencies, manage on-site personnel, and adapt to changing conditions. The Security/Fire Manager must maintain professionalism and composure at all times while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Organizational Chart:
- The Security/Fire Manager – Reports directly to the Regional Director of Operations.
- The team's Fire Chief and Security Chief report directly to the Security/Fire Manager.
- Fire Services: Fire Chief – Training Captain – Company Captains – Company Lieutenants – Firefighters/Paramedics
- Security Services: Security Chief – Assistant Security Chief – Security Captain – Security Lieutenant Dispatch – Security Lieutenants, Field Operations – Officers
- Administrative Team: Security Training Officer – Administrative Assistant
