
Sr Mechatronics Engineer

- ECU, Feature, and Electrical System Development: Lead the development and integration of Electronic Control Units (ECUs), new features, content, and electrical systems, components, and products with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Write documentation to clarify and communicate system architecture, solutions, processes, requirements, and schedule for the execution of various projects to ensure delivery on key metrics.
- Manage contracts, negotiate terms, maintain deadlines, draft and review NDAs, and ensured compliance with regulations.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to meet design specifications.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and best engineering practices.
- Contribute to project planning, technical support, and budgeting.
- Mentor junior engineers, emphasizing best design practices.
- Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10-15+ years of engineering experience, ideally with a focus on mobility products and the marine industry.
- Proven track record of successful project management and leadership.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing specifications for network communication, hardware, and component integration, including defining verification and validation requirements.
- Experience in selecting microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and embedded systems
- Demonstrated ability to architect solutions across multiple groups and disciplines.
- Expert in using electrical and mechanical design software to create and assess engineering drawings, with strong expertise in employing engineering tools to validate designs and resolve issues.
- Must be able to interpret, evaluate, modify diagrams, schematics other engineering documents
- Passionate about pursuing a career in marine industry.
- Holder of professional engineering license is a plus.
- Proficiency in network protocols and communication standards (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, USB, TCP/IP, UART, I2C, GPIO)
- Strong business acumen and ability to formulate and explain business cases to various business functions, including executive leadership.
- Expert in the use of lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, waveform generator, etc.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Python, MATLAB.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety compliance across voltage levels.
