You join a community that respects who you are away from work as much as what you do while at work.Where Your Career is a Force for Good!WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:We are currently seeking a professional, innovative and enthusiastic Executive Director for our North Texas Region Reporting to the Regional Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director is the face of the Red Cross in their chapter territory and in markets without volunteer leaders. This position is responsible for the following key areas within the defined territory: blood sponsor relationship management, fundraising, and management of the local Board of Directors and United Way relationships, as applicable.   • Dynamic Leadership of the North Texas Region: As the Chapter’s leader, you will be the vital link between the American Red Cross and the communities we serve, ensuring our presence is deeply felt and our mission creates lasting change. You will expand our impact, forging strong connections to ensure that the Red Cross is woven into the fabric of our communities.
  • Building Transformative Relationships: You will be a key ambassador, cultivating meaningful relationships with influential community leaders, businesses, philanthropists, and elected officials. Your leadership will drive the achievement of chapter and regional goals by expanding the reach and capacity of the Red Cross in our North Texas Region.
Championing an Influential Board of Directors: You will develop and lead a diverse, influential, and well-connected Board of Directors, empowering these local champions to galvanize resources and support for the Red Cross. Your role will ensure the Board’s effectiveness in driving the Red Cross mission forward. * Inspiring Strategic and Influential Leadership: As a visionary leader, you will inspire and motivate a high-performing team of volunteers and employees through influence to exceed fundraising, blood collection, and mission delivery goals. Your ability to think strategically and inspire others will shape the future of the Red Cross in our North Texas Region and have a lasting impact within its communities.
  • Creating a Culture of Inclusion and Belonging: You will leverage your influence to foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and belonging, ensuring employees and volunteers feel empowered to work as a cohesive, mission-driven team for impact and community outcomes.
  • Visionary Chapter Planning: You’ll spearhead the chapter’s annual planning process, identifying key areas where we can make the greatest impact in the community. Your vision will directly shape the outcomes we deliver in partnership with the communities we serve.
Key Regional Leadership Role: As a member of the Texas Leadership Team, you will work closely with the Regional CEO, playing an integral role in shaping the direction and success of the American Red Cross in the region. Although this position doesn’t include direct reports, you will hold a pivotal role on the regional leadership team, leading the North Texas Region toward increased influence and impact within the communities we serve.This position involves very little operational responsibility. It is an external-facing, community relations role. A successful candidate should also be able to influence community/government stakeholders using persuasive techniques. Top talent should also be comfortable working within an environment in which there are specific goals that must be achieved monthly, quarterly and annually.Executive Director - Markets With Red Cross Blood Collections (C) = Population served in the assigned chapter is between
500K.The salary range for this position is $82,000-$84,000 (plus Incentive)WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):Education: Four-year college degree (BS/BA) in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Finance or non-profit administration or equivalent experience required. Prefer Master’s degree in the field of community organization, public or business administration or non-profit management.Experience: Minimum of 5 years related experience. Demonstrated ability to exercise good and timely judgment in complex situations. Demonstrated ability for strong communications and influencing skills along with public speaking and writing. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies. Demonstrated ability to build sustain community relationships/partnerships. Proven experience in influencing others and building relationships.Management Experience: N/ASkills & Abilities: Experience working in an environment requiring flexibility and managing change. Proficient with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiarity with federal state and local employment laws.Travel: Travel within communities serviced and region.In-Office Work: North Texas Region*Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE

Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information. Overall mobility is essential. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle and working under challenging conditions.Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to emergency services relief work. May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout chapter jurisdiction, state and Red Cross system.
