- Oversee the troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of all broadcast equipment, computers, and network systems in a dynamic 24x7x365 environment.
- Lead the configuration and optimization of broadcast and satellite feed/receive appliances, ensuring seamless transmission and reception.
- Act as Executive-in-Charge (E.I.C.) during live and taped productions, ensuring technical excellence and addressing any issues promptly.
- Foster effective communication within the Engineering team and with production staff to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems swiftly.
- Develop and implement comprehensive documentation for quality standards, system anomalies, operational procedures, and maintenance schedules.
- Manage the operation and maintenance of the facility's technological assets, including the Robotic Camera system, to support high-quality production.
- Uphold and exceed the client's technical quality standards through meticulous oversight and innovation.
- Spearhead large-scale projects from conception through completion, demonstrating exceptional project management skills.
- Continuously evaluate and introduce new technologies and workflows to enhance production quality and operational efficiency.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in broadcast engineering, with extensive experience in live TV production environments.
- Demonstrated leadership in initiating, managing, and completing large-scale technical projects.
- Expertise across a broad range of production and broadcast technologies, including but not limited to Broadcast Audio, Video and Control Systems, Video Servers, RF Systems, Editing, Post Production Systems, and Ross video systems.
- In-depth knowledge of production and post-production workflows, including MAM, SAN, and DAM systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of IT networking and systems, including Firewalls, Fiber-Optics, MPEG, SAN, RAID systems, TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP, Active Directory, as well as Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with broadcast television and streaming technologies, from studio and post-production to master control and distribution.
- Exceptional multitasking abilities in a high-pressure broadcast environment.
- Solution-oriented with strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and extended hours during critical events.
