Job Description: Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocoland procedures. Acts as a resource for Lab Assistants. Supports and assists Medical Technologists and Lead MedicalTechnologists as required. Requires minimal to moderate supervision, (task dependent). General Supervisor must be on site.
QualificationsEducation:MLT(ASCP) or equivalent as defined by CLIA’88Experience:
Two (2) years of experience as Medical Laboratory Technician.Technical Skills:
General bench tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalitiesLicense/Certification:
Nevada State Licensure as Medical Laboratory Technician; ASCP or equivalent board registration upon hire preffered.New graduates, or applicants that do not currently have a Nevada license, must obtain a Nevada State Provisional license prior to hire and must obtain a permanent license upon expiration of the provisional license.Other:
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality of patient
care appropriately (specific age competent). Must possess appropriate people skills,
organization and attention to detail.
