We're expanding the pre-construction estimating team and looking for Electrical Estimators to be ready for their first Electrical Pre-construction Manager role - let's get started.Job Summary:The Electrical Pre-Construction Estimator is responsible for supporting/preparing accurate and competitive estimates for electrical projects. This individual will analyze project plans, evaluate material and labor costs, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to develop comprehensive bid proposals. Responsibilities:
  • Review blueprints, specifications, and related documents for upcoming projects.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors during pre-construction.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits as necessary.
  • Create and maintain a database of historical cost data.
  • Assist in budget preparation and project planning.
Qualifications:
  • 2 years estimating experience with an electrical contractor
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices.
  • Proficient in estimating software (such as Accubid, Bluebeam, Plan Swift, or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and analytical mindset.
