
Global Sales Training Director, IOLs

- Design and implement global sales training programs focused on IOLs and cataract consumables, aligned with commercial strategy and product launches.
- Partner with regional sales leaders, marketing, and medical affairs to identify training needs and develop tailored learning solutions.
- Lead the creation of training content including clinical education, product positioning, competitive differentiation, and selling techniques.
- Deliver engaging training sessions via in-person workshops, virtual platforms, and e-learning modules.
- Establish metrics to evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve programs based on feedback and performance data.
- Support onboarding of new sales representatives and ongoing development of tenured teams.
- Stay current on industry trends, clinical advancements, and competitive landscape in ophthalmology.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across global markets.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD. +6 yrs)
- 10 Years of Relevant Experience
- 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
- Proven ability to translate complex clinical and technical information into effective training materials.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
- Experience working in a global or matrixed organization.
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- Travel requirements: up to 30% International and Domestic

- Experience in medical device sales, preferably within ophthalmology or surgical specialties
- Experience in sales training or commercial excellence roles
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Experience with LMS platforms and digital training tools.
- Multilingual capabilities a plus.
