- Design constructible fiber network plans for rural and commercial areas.
- Size serving boundaries using GIS address data.
- Layout feeder routes, distribution routes, and drops to premises.
- Determine fiber allocations and review field staking sheets.
- Determine the best construction method for design.
- Produce constructible design packages using GIS-based software such as ArcMap.
- Provide CAD support for fiber systems through the creation of permit plan and profile drawings, construction drawings, and conduit designs.
- Proficiency in GIS, particularly ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and mobile data collection tools.
- 3 years of experience with AutoCAD and Civil GIS Mapping.
- Strong Python programming skills, including ArcPy and ArcGIS API for Python.
- Professional experience with GIS in telecom, utility, or civil engineering industries.
- GIS certifications such as Esri Technical Certification or GISCI.
- Experience with web GIS development, including ArcGIS API for JavaScript and Leaflet.
- Knowledge of fiber network planning and RF propagation modeling.
- Experience with CAD tools for telecom or utility design.
- Adaptability to new tools, methodologies, and project requirements.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Experience with SQL and spatial databases for managing and querying geospatial data.
- Understanding of telecommunications networks, including fiber optic and wireless infrastructure.
- Ability to work on projects with short timelines.
- Strong communication skills to articulate and implement tasks with clarity and priority.
