OverviewUnder supervision, to perform work involving patient tracking activities on an automated and manual system, organizing patient medical records, and performing receptionist duties, as well as other related duties necessary for the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of Patient Care Units.ResponsibilitiesPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions)
  • Assists with basic patient care related tasks such as ambulating patient, preparing patients for meals, feeding patients, removing food trays, grooming tasks, and making beds, with direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Makes contributions to the Patient's Plan of Care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Takes and records temperature, B/P, weight, height, and oral intake accurately.
  • Transports patients, specimens, supplies and equipment to the correct service area in a safe manner.
  • Distributes drinking water and nourishments to identified patients.

EDUCATION
  • Completed medical/surgical nursing class and pharmacology test from respective teaching institution.
  • Nursing Required
