Oversees/manages all aspects of the Internal Medicine Residency Program to ensure high quality training for all residents in the program. Maintains/develops curriculum to reflect current medical treatments/practices/ management in the field of internal medicine.Job Duties
  • Lead in development, accreditation, and the long-term success of Baptist Health Paducah's residency program.
  • Develop advanced curriculum, training methods and materials for residents.
  • Evaluates qualifications of residency applicants through documented, formal, procedural based criteria.
  • Coordinates and participates in the recruitment, interview and selection, onboarding process of the residents for the program.
  • Serves as liaison with University of Louisville School of Medicine and collaborates with University of Louisville's GME leadership.
  • Serves on relevant committees representing the Internal Medicine Residency Program and acts as the primary liaison and key contact for the Residency Program.
  • Development of inpatient/outpatient medical practice.
Requirements
  • Must be a Board-Certified Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • A minimum of three years job related experience is required.
  • Must have three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience.
  • Must be currently practicing clinically and must be licensed in the state of Kentucky or able to obtain a medical license in the state of Kentucky.
  • Must be board certified in Internal Medicine by the ABIM.
  • Must have experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team to create an educational environment that promotes high quality care, patient safety, and resident wellbeing.
