ABOUT THIS ROLEThe Senior Manager of Human Resources is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the human resources function within OOBE. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: strategic planning, payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, talent acquisition and training, performance management and development, and compliance with internal policies/procedures and employment law.The Senior Manager of Human Resources will serve as the first point of contact for employee relations. They will collaborate with Senior Leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals and objectives.WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Strategic Planning and Leadership:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives. Proactively develop programs which promote a positive energy within the company and improve employee satisfaction.
  • Identify HR challenges and opportunities and develop plans to address them effectively.
  • Serve on Senior Leadership team and collaborate with peers to help drive organizational change initiatives.
  • Serve as liaison with Hospitality team to assist with organizational culture, employee appreciation events, special projects, and community initiatives.
  • Talent Acquisition:
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain top talent, including communicating with multiple vendors for sourcing and posting as needed, participating in the interview process, and taking ownership of the full employee lifecycle at OOBE.
  • Develop recruitment strategies and sourcing techniques to meet workforce needs.
  • Ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity (EEO) regulations and best practices.
  • Oversee employee onboarding experience, which includes the following:
  • Maintenance of all proper personnel forms, reports, and records to comply with all federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Conduct facilities tours and departmental introductions.
  • Manage issuance and record keeping of Company assets.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Promote a positive work environment and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Serve as trusted advisor and facilitate responses to employee relations issues, ensure proper and accurate documentation, and coordinate with management on issues as appropriate.
  • Support managers in situations to coach employees to success or assist with performance improvement
  • Performance Management, Training & Development:
  • Develop and implement performance management systems and processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on performance evaluations, goal setting, and feedback.
  • Identify opportunities for employee development and career growth.
  • Identify training needs and develop/coordinate initiatives, workshops and seminars to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  • Maintain up‐to‐date job descriptions, organizational charts, employee records and all other HR files and data.
  • Compensation, Benefits and Compliance:
  • Oversee compensation and benefits administration, including salary benchmarking, incentive programs, and employee benefits.
  • Maintain employee payroll information and 401(k) contributions in third-party information data system.
  • Manage benefits portal, coordinate benefit orientation meetings, and lead annual open enrollment.
  • Administration of worker's compensation, unemployment, short & long-term disability and FMLA requests.
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
  • Communicate HR policies to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Maintain all time‐off requests and records including sick, vacation, PTO, and assists in coordination of alerting employees to inclement weather and procedures.
  • Maintain personnel files and conduct file audits to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Identify or maintain compensation and benefit strategies that ensure the ability to attract and retain top talent; ensure market competitiveness
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in compensation and benefits.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks.
  • Conduct audits and investigations as needed to ensure compliance and address issues proactively.
  • Update OOBE handbook and policies as needed.
  • WHAT YOU HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, human resources management or human resources administration preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR management experience
  • Human Resources Certification - PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP desired
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience managing benefit renewal, enrollment and administration, as well as basic payroll functions.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong (effective, clear, and proactive) verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate HR strategies into actionable plans.
  • Organized, responsive, analytical, and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to analyze situations to make decisions in the best interest of OOBE and ability to analyze HR metrics to drive decision-making.
  • Strong ethical standards; able to create trust and integrity with co‐workers and handle confidential information with discretion
