Responsibilities include managing current and future projects, troubleshooting, collaborating with teams, and staying current with emerging technologies relevant to library environments. The role also involves vendor coordination, system customization, training, and user support. Candidates should have hands-on experience with Oracle RDMS, SQL Server, Crystal Reports, and web technologies including PHP, C# .NET, JavaScript, and Drupal CMS. Familiarity with SDLC, project management models, data analysis tools like Power BI and SSRS, and network/server administration (Windows, Linux, Active Directory) is preferred. Strong troubleshooting skills using remote desktop tools and Google Workspace are also desirable.
Responsibilities :
- Communicate professionally and effectively in both written and verbal manner.
- Ability to multitask: Must manage and handle, and work on current and future projects simultaneously.
- Document the status and progress to report daily or weekly as they occur.
- Collaborate with coworkers to resolve problems and complete simultaneous tasks as needed.
- Knowledge and experience with the SDLC methodology and project management models.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest technology that may be useful in the Library setting. Research, communicate with vendors, arrange demonstrations, customize installations, create installation and training documentation, and train Library staff.
- Assist, maintain, and support the department’s client applications and the Integrated Library System.
- Knowledge and experience with Oracle RDMS, Microsoft SQL Server, and Crystal Reports are also required.
- Data analysis tools such as SSRS, Power BI, and dashboard creation skills are desired.
- Knowledge and experience with Windows Servers, Linux Servers, and Microsoft Active Directory network servers is preferable.
- Knowledge and experience with Drupal CMS, web programming languages such as PHP, C# .NET, and JavaScript are required.
- Knowledge and experience of using desktop remote tools (VNC, RDP) for troubleshooting and managing files.
- Have working experiences with Gmail accounts, Google Calendar & Google Drive.
- Able to map network drives and printers and troubleshoot mapping issues. Knowledge of the Konica-Minolta multifunction network copier is also preferable.
