This position requires the ability to teach middle school social studies aligned with state standards and Catholic values, while also fostering a supportive and structured homeroom environment.Key Responsibilities:Instructional Duties:
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in 7th Grade Social Studies, incorporating a variety of teaching methods.
Integrate Catholic teachings and values into the curriculum where appropriate.
Use assessments to guide instruction and provide timely feedback to students and parents. * Maintain accurate and timely records of student performance and progress.Homeroom Duties:
Serve as the primary contact and support for students and families in the 7th grade homeroom.
Lead daily homeroom routines including prayer, attendance, announcements, and check-ins.
Promote a respectful, inclusive, and faith-centered classroom environment.
Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.School Community Involvement:
Actively participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
Collaborate with colleagues in planning interdisciplinary projects or school-wide initiatives. Uphold and model the values of the Catholic faith in word and action.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
Valid teaching certification (state-specific, if required).
Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred..
Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
