- Design and execute experiments, ensuring adherence to scientific protocols and methodologies.
- Perform laboratory techniques and procedures accurately, including sample preparation and data analysis.
- Oversee small projects or programs, directing assignments of other staff members.
- Serve as the responsible person for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex equipment.
- Lead and manage scientific research projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Analyze experimental data using statistical software, interpreting results, and drawing conclusions.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and scientific publications for internal and external audiences.
- Develop and improve methods, test plans, and experimental designs.
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams to achieve project objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, observations, and results.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive scientific innovation.
- Communicate research findings and project status effectively to senior scientists and project leaders.
- Adhere to quality control measures and standard operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in research methodologies.
- Degree in Microbiology with at least 3 years of experience as a Microbiologist in a hospital setting.
- Proficiency in microbiology, laboratory techniques, and mass spectrometry.
- Experience with MALDI and MALDI-TOF.
- Strong technical leadership and mastery in protocol troubleshooting and optimization.
- Evidence of potential for original or collaborative research leading to publication.
- Master's Degree with clinical microbiology experience, or Bachelor's Degree with at least 4 years of experience.
- American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
- Proven track record of contributing to scientific research through peer-reviewed publications and patented work.
