Rochester, NYJK Executive Strategies is excited to partner with an innovative leader in the flexible packaging industry in search for a Corporate Training Manager to join the team. This organization has over a century of experience delivering cutting-edge, custom packaging solutions across North America.The Corporate Training Manager will lead the development of a performance-driven culture aligned with the organization's mission and goals. This role partners with leadership to assess training needs, design and deliver impactful programs, and support initiatives like technical training, mentoring, and succession planning.Responsibilities
- Ensure strategic alignment of the training department with business goals.
- Evaluate individual and organizational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance.
- Identify training needs by consulting with stakeholders and using needs assessments.
- Develop and deliver training solutions that meet business needs, including reviewing and developing pertinent SOPs.
- Optimize training processes for efficiency.
- Select and manage resources, including working with both internal employees and training vendors to develop and deliver training.
- Manage the technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage and deliver training.
- Responsible for the Mentoring Program initiatives and its effectiveness.
- Organize, facilitate, and present training sessions to groups or individuals as needed.
- Promote and inform employees about all training programs. Establish guidelines so employees understand expectations and parameters and are receiving ongoing training to understand expectations and job requirements.
- Partner with Corporate Human Resources Director on Succession Planning, to ensure the focus is on the ongoing development of Future leaders and any other areas identified through the Succession planning process. Utilizes reporting and evaluation methods to determine effectiveness and impact of the training programs.
- Ensures adult learning principles are incorporated into all training programs.
- Create and manage a system of SOPs, SSOPs, Job Aids, One-point lessons, training presentations/videos, etc.
- Supports corporate quality and continuous improvement processes.
- Assists in providing an employee, manager, or regulatory agency with the necessary information on training documentation or for regulatory inspections.
- Establishes and maintains cross-functional partnerships with site / COE leaders and other stakeholders.
- Manage a training team across multiple facilities - approximately 35% travel is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, OD, Engineering, Business or a related field.
- 5+ years related experience and/or training, preferred.
- Manufacturing experienced preferred.
- Passionate about giving employees the development tools required for personal and professional growth and success.
- Demonstrated ability to present and teach training materials to all employees with a wide range of educational backgrounds.
- Knowledge of instructional design methodologies.
- Proven ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strong ability to organize effectively, solve problems and communicate clearly.
- Adaptable to changing business dynamics and ability to adapt to a flexible schedule when needed.
- Strong business and technical acumen
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office products and other web-based applications.
