
BILINGUAL SUPV ENVIRONMENTAL CARE (Night Shift)

- Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred.
- Five years of environmental services operations or related work experience in a unionized, multiuse facility environment is required. 1 year of demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience required. 1 year of experience in a healthcare environmental care services environment preferred.
- Must be able to operate cleaning, floor care and trash removal equipment proficiently.
- Must understand technical aspects of cleaning and have strong understanding of people and what motivates and satisfies them.
- Work requires a complete, in-depth and operational understanding of health care environmental services good business practices, service excellence, human resources, inventory control, environmental services systems and standards and infection control.
- Must understand technical aspects of cleaning, floor care and trash removal in a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of safety rules, procedures and practices, including the proper use of safety equipment as defined by OSHA and industry standards.
- Functional knowledge of computer applications (PC- and network-based), including Windows, departmental e-mail, word processing, database, spreadsheet, and maintenance/work order processing applications packages.
- Experience working with a unionized workforce.
- In depth knowledge of comprehensive cleaning requirements, chemicals, equipment and supply products; operation of an environmental sanitation program; infection control standards; strong problem solving skills.
- Must possess strong customer service skills - ability to interact with the patients and families.
- Must possess superior interpersonal skills to regularly interact with individuals at all levels of hospital/health system organizations including senior executive leadership, external and internal auditors and vendors. Ability to work well independently and in groups. Requires well-defined project management skills to implement and deploy projects organization-wide. Requires strong analytical and problem solving abilities. knowledge of Excel.
- Lean Six sigma experience preferred.
- Must be able to operate general office equipment.
- Work may produce high level of mental/visual fatigue due to attention to details.
- May be exposed to construction hazards.
- Works in a normal office environment where there are limited physical discomforts due to temperature, noise, dust and the like.
- May spend extended periods of time working at computer station.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents has little likelihood of harm if established health precautions are followed.
- Work requires the use of protective safety devices including, but not limited to, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, infection prevention appar-el/apparatus.
